Grady Hammer, W2 - #12

Grady Hammer, Wallace has been selected for the Division II West Team. He is a 2017 graduate of Wallace County High School and plans to attend college and major in agronomy. Football statistics and accomplishments include: 128 solo tackles, 287 total tackles, 14 sacks, 1 interception, 5 caused tackles, 4 fumble recoveries, 6 of 10 pass completions for 99 yards, 1 passing touchdown, 176 carries for 1169 rushing yards and 11 TD's, 34 pass receptions for 464 yards and 5 TD's. Grady was selected All State Defensive End 2 times, 1st Team All League Defensive End 2 years, Honorable Mention All League Defensive End 1 year, 1st Team All League Running Back 1 year, 2nd Team All League Tight End 1 year, 2nd Team All League Center 1 year and was a 2 year captain for the team. Wallace County received the state playoffs for the past 4 years and was state runner-up 1 year, substate runner-up 3 years and league champions 3 years. Accomplishments in other sports include All League Second Team 3 years in basketball and 3 year captain and a member of the state championship basketball team in 2015. Grady competed at the state track meet in the 4x800 relay and discus. Activities and honors outside school include: 4-H, 4-H Council, Kansas Gelbvieh Junior Assn, American Gelbvieh Junior Association, AWANA's, 4-H Key Award, Beef Project Leader, Kansas Beef Record Book Winner, Wallace County Livestock Judging Team, State High Individual Judger, Livestock Judging Camp Counselor K-State Animal Science Leadership Academy. Hobbies and interests include playing sports, showing and judging livestock and hunting. Activities and honors in school include: National Honor Society, Student Council, Mentoring Program, Principal's Honor Roll, Pep Band, Fall Play and Vocal. Grady's parents are Lyle and Christy Hammer.
