Farmway Coop, Inc. offers 12 college scholarship opportunities to graduating high school seniors for the Fall of 2014. The scholarship opportunities are separated into two categories - FFA and Farmway Producer-Member.

These scholarship programs enable youth to continue their agricultural education on a collegiate level. Based on academic achievement, service to local communities, and knowledge of the cooperative system, the Farmway Scholarship Committee will select the winners of each scholarship.

Farmway Coop, Inc. FFA Scholarship
Farmway is offering a $500 scholarship to one graduating senior in each of the 10 FFA Chapters located within the immediate trade territory. Applications will be accepted from students who are members of the FFA chapters at the following schools: Clay Center, Clifton-Clyde, Concordia, Southern Cloud, Beloit High, Lakeside, Pike Valley, Republic County, Blue Valley and Riley County.

Farmway Coop, Inc. Producer-Member Scholarship
Farmway is offering two $1,000 scholarships to the students of Farmway producer-members interested in pursuing higher education in agriculture. Applicants' parent or legal guardian must be an active patron of Farmway.

"Farmway is committed to improving, encouraging and enabling the healthy development of youth in north central Kansas," said Mallory Wittstruck, Farmway communications director. "And by helping our youth pursue their agricultural career, we ensure that the agricultural industry continues to grow."

Since 1974, Farmway has awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships to youth pursuing an agricultural career.

Scholarship guideline and applications can be picked up from any Farmway location or downloaded from www.farmwaycoop.com. Applications are due March 14, 2014 to the Administration Office in Beloit.
