Irene Hiatt, Age 86

Irene Mae Hiatt, the daughter of Joe Bundy and Adelaide (Vanous) Bundy, was born September 2, 1929 at Rural Belleville, KS and passed away on November 26, 2015 at Republic County-Long Term Care, Belleville, KS, at the age of 86 years, 2 months, and 24 days.
Irene attended the rural country schools of Republic County, later graduating from Belleville High School in 1947. Following her schooling, she worked at the Belleville Co-op for a short time. On March 28, 1948, she was united in marriage to Duard W. Hiatt and to the union was born: Diane, Julie, and Kathy.
The couple made their home in Belleville, KS until 1976, when they moved to Junction City, KS where they owned and operated Junction City-Agri Service until their retirement in 1992. In 1993, the couple returned to Belleville, KS.
Irene was also a homemaker and attended the Landmark Church, Belleville, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Duard W. Hiatt in 2008, and one brother, Joe Elmer Bundy.
Irene is survived by three daughters, Diane (Mike) Hardenburger of Belleville, KS, Julie Patton of Abilene, KS, and Kathy (Steve) Anderson of Belleville, KS; 8 grandchildren: Joe (Becky) Patton of Huntington Beach, CA, Josh Patton of Abilene, KS, Jared Patton of Sneads Ferry, NC, Travis (Miranda) Hardenburger of Wamego, KS, Drew (Erin) Hardenburger of Belleville, KS, Bryan (Celia) Anderson of Spring, TX, Kylee ( Joe) Levin of Wichita ,KS, and Abbey Anderson of Manhattan, KS; 8 great grandchildren: Cade Patton, Collin Patton, Peyton Hardenburger, Beckett Hardenburger, Graceyn Anderson , Gavin Anderson, Rees Levin, and Brek Levin; 3 step great grandchildren: Jeff ( Marielle) Ecklund, Eddie Ecklund, and Nick (Kristi) Coffey; three step great great grandchildren; sister-in-laws: Geraldine Hiatt of Munden, KS and Judy Hiatt of Kearney, MO; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the Central Christian Church, Belleville, KS with Pastor Mark Imel, officiating.
Interment will be at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, KS.
Visitation will be from One PM until 9 PM on Tuesday and from 9 AM until 9 PM on Wednesday at Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home where the family will greet friends from 6PM until 8 PM on Wednesday.
