The St. John’s Blujay track teams traveled to Russell on Tuesday to participate in the 58th Annual Wilson Dragon Invitational. The day turned out to be a good one for both the boys and the girls teams as the boys brought home the first place team trophy and the girls brought home the second place team trophy.
The boys scored 138 points to finish ahead of second place Ell-Saline who had 73.5 points and third place Central Plains who had 59 points.
The Blujay girls with their five competitors scored 66 points to finish behind Lakeside and ahead of Otis-Bison who scored 61 points.
The Blujays brought home 28 medals combined between the boys (19) and the girls (9). And again this meet, every member of the girls squad took home at least one medal. Of the 28 medals, the Blujays took home 11 gold, seven silver, three bronze, four fourth place medals, one fifth place medal and two sixth place medals.
