Operation Christmas Child Local Workshops Scheduled

Would you like to learn how you can become more involved in demonstrating God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world, and together with the local church worldwide, to share in the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan’s Purse, an international Christian relief and evangelism organization headed by Franklin Graham.

Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than `46 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 160 countries and territories. For many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox is the first gift they have ever received.

Three workshops will be presented in central Kansas to train Operation Christmas Child volunteers and project leaders from local churches.  The OCC Area Team will present information including: year-around opportunities to volunteer, raising suggested donations for shoebox gifts, introducing "The Greatest Journey" to churches and community groups, and increasing the number of shoeboxes each year. Project Leader resources will be available.
