8 Man Division I East Squad 2023

Beloit to host 38th Annual 8 Man All Star Games
The 38th Annual Kansas 8 Man All Star Games will be played in Beloit on Saturday, June 10th. The Division I game will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Trojan Field on North Hersey Avenue. Pre-game will begin at 9:30 a.m. with introduction of the players.
The Beloit Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Pep Rally and refreshments for the players, coaches and fans on Friday, June 9th, starting at 4 p.m. at Chautauqua Park in Beloit.

Koda Blankenship, Sedan, has been selected for the 2023 8 Man All Star Football Game. He is a 2013 graduate of Sedan High School and plans to become a welder. His parents are Bryan and Sheila Blankinship and his high school football coach was Mick Holt.
Football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: All League Offense and Defense, All State; 2019 6 total tackles, 2020 23 total tackles, 1 sack, 2021 11 total tackles, 2022 42 total tackles, 4 sacks.
Sedan was 2019-2020 District RunnerUp; 2020-21 Undefeated Season Regional Champions; 2022-23 3rd in District.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: All League Baseball, Letter in every sport every year.
He enjoys welding, hunting and fishing.
Activities and honors in school include: StuCo, Letterman's Club, FCA, FFA.

Mitch Budke, Chase County, is a 2023 graduate of Chase County High School and plans to play football at ESU. His parents are Tiffany and Derrick Budke and his high school coach was Brody Vandegrift.
Football accomplishments, statistics and honors include: 2 time All-State AB, 2 time All Stare Linebacker, 111 Rushing TD;s, 33 passing CDs 5 Defensive TD's (149 total), 5492 rushing yards, 2224 passing yards, 486 career tackles.
Chase County was a finalist in 2020, 2022, 2nd Round in 2021 and first round exit in 2019.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: KWCA All Academic Team, 3x State Wrestling Qualifier, 2x State Track Medalist - 3rd in the 4x100 in 2022, All-League HM Outfielder.
Activities and honors outside of school include: 4-H, 12U State Baseball Tournament Most Outstanding Player.
He enjoys playing D an D, Reading, Video Games and Scholars Bowl.

Evan Feuerborn, Lyndon, has been selected for the I East Division All Star Football game. Evan is a 2023 graduate of Lyndon High School and plans to attend college and play football. Evan coaches a kids recreation basketball team.
He enjoys playing golf, frisbee golf and fishing.

Matthew Heckman, Burlingame, has been selected for the Division I East team. He is a 2023 graduate of Burlingame High School and plans to attend college on a sports scholarship. His parents are Cody and Amy Heckman. His high school coach was Jeff Slater.
Football accomplishments and honors include: SIK Defensive Player of the Year Nomination, SIK First Team All State Defense, KSHSAA Covered First Team All State Defense, First Team All League WR and DB, First Team All District WR and DB.
Team accomplishments include: Sub-State Runnerup, Section Champions, Regional Champions, District Champions, Lyon County League Champions.
Honors and accomplishments in other sports include: 2 time State Qualifier for High Jump, Track State Runner-UP High jump, State Qualifier in 400m.
Activities and honors outside of school include being actively involved in Bible Study and Youth Group.
He enjoys traveling to new places, trying new foods and relaxing in front of a video game.

Gavin Isch, Madison, has been selected for the Division I East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Madison High School and plans to take on-line classes through Butler Community College and study Agribusiness. He also plans to work as a part-time crop insurance adjuster as well as work on his family farm. His high school coach was Alex McMillian.
His parents are Justin and Elizabeth Isch.
Activities and honors outside of school include NWTF-Jakes Member of the Year 2018. Hobbies and interests include Farming, ranching, hunting and golfing.

Toby Jesseph, Little River, has been selected for the 2023 8 Man All Star Football Game. He is a 2023 graduate of Little River High School and plans to study Exercise Science at the University of Kansas and pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. His parents are Kelly and Mai Thy Jesseph and his high school football coach was Kevin Ayers.
Football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 1st Team All-Wheat State League Sports in Kansas 2022 1st Team 8 Man I All State Football Team, Sports in Kansas Top 100 seniors Honorable Mention, Senior year: 53 solo tackles, 89 total tackles, 6 TFL, 1 sack, 2 fumble recoveries; Overall: 82 solo tackles, 142 total tackles, 13 TFL, 5 sacks, 4 fumble recoveries.
Little River was 2020 State Champs, 2021-22 Runner-Up both years, 2019 playoffs.
Toby was a state track qualifier in the 4x100 in 2022.
He enjoys performing music, performing arts, reading and scholars bowl.

Cal Kohlmeier, Chase County, has been selected for the Division I East Squad. His parents are Ryan and Tyler Kohlmeier and his high school football coach is Brody VanDegrift. Future plans are to attend Pitt State to study Mechanical Engineering.
Football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 2021 All Grasslands Defensive End, 2022 All-District Defense and Offense, 2022 All-State Defense. Offensive Stats: 75 Carries 998 yards rushing 15 tds, 14 catches for 264 yards 5 tds Defensive Stats: 144 tackles 20 sacks 22 tackles for loss 4 forced fumbles 3 fumble recoveries 1 td (Cal only played Varsity at Chase County for the 2021 & 2022 seasons due to KSSHA transfer rules).
Chase County was 2022 regional champions and sectional runner up.

He enjoys reading, working out, being outdoors and watching movies.

Team achievements include: Sub State Runnerup, League Champion, District Champion.
Tyler enjoys video games and has been an honor roll and Stuco representative.

Colby Middleton, Burlingame, has been selected for the Division I East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Burlingame High School and plans to attend Washburn University. His parents are Travis and Bridget Middleton and his high school football coach was Jeff Slater.
Football statistics, accomplishments and honors include: 1300 rushing yards and 34 touchdowns; 1318 passing yards and 21 touchdowns, 80 tackles, 1st Team All-State and All-League. Burlingame was 2022 District Champions, League Champions and Sub-State Runnerup.
Colby qualified for the state track meet in the shot put.
Hobbies and interests include hanging out with friends, fishing and other sports.
Colby has been on the honor roll in high school and was a member of StuCo.

Dustin Montgomery, West Elk, has been selected for the Division I East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of West Elk High School and plans to attend the Electrical Lineman program through Pratt CC in Coffeyville. His parents are Amy and Kevin Lyon and Dan Montgomery. His coach is Chris Haag.

Outside of school Dustin was a member of a Central Travel Baseball 4 years, member of Moline Shining Star 4-H Club 12 years.
Other hobbies and interests include livestock judging and showing, playing sports, fishing hanging out with friends and spending time with his girlfriend.

He was a member of the basketball team that went to state in 2021/2022.

Jacob Wiens, Goessel, has been selected for the 2023 8 Man All Star East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Goessel High School and plans to attend Hutchinson Community College for an Agri-Business degree. His parents are James and Shari Wiens and his coach was Garrett Hiebert.

Damion Woods, Herrington, has been selected for the Division I East Squad. He is a 2023 graduate of Herrington High School and his future plans are undecided. His mother is Reanna Jones and his high school football coach was Boyd Petterson.
Football statistics and honors include: 1st Team All WSL, Unanimous 1st Team All District Offensive Line, Second Team All District Defensive Line, Honorable Mention All State Offensive Line (Sports in Kansas), and Honorable Mention All State Lineman KSHSAA.
Herrington reached the state playoffs in 2022.
Damoin's hobbies and interests include video games, disc golf, and chillin with his friends.
