Sharon E. Tamerius, the daughter of Clark Danielson and Lila (Loring) Danielson, was born March 2, 1941 in Marquette, Kansas, and passed away on February 19, 2024 at the Belleville Health Care Center, Belleville, Kansas, at the age of 82.
Sharon grew up in Marquette where her parents ran the local grocery store and the family lived in the back of the store. The family later moved to Lindsborg and then Scandia, Kansas, where Sharon attended school, graduating from Scandia High School. She later was united in marriage to Gary John White in Topeka, Kansas. The couple moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, where they lived for many years. He preceded her in death in July of 2003.
She was united in marriage to Clarence "Mike" Tamerius. They lived in Cuba, Kansas, and later Belleville, Kansas. The couple were members of the Belleville VFW and American Legion Posts. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2009.
Sharon worked as a waitress at Bee's Restaurant in Scandia and later at the Mustang Inn in Cuba, Kansas. She like to crochet, selling her afghans and blankets, collecting figurines and baby dolls, play horseshoes, and loved her dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Lila Danielson; husbands, Gary John White and Mike Tamerius; stepson, Curtis Tamerius; grandson, Ryan White; great-grandson, Sawyer White; and daughter-in-law, Joyce White.
Sharon is survived by her children, Rick (Sherrie Lang) White of Janesville, Wisconsin, John (Vi Thomas) White of Belleville, Kansas, Scott White of Cuba, Kansas, Shannon (Gevine) White of Belleville, Kansas; grandchildren, Samantha (Mike) McIntyre, Jessi (Kevin) Dahl, Jessica (Zach) Weathersbee, Shayna (Andy) Evert, Jazmen (Cortny) Purvis, Bailey White, Sarah White, Chris (Amber) White, Justin (Shelby) White, Kendra White, and Chris (Trisha) Zach; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; stepdaughters, Karen McNeal and Sonnie Brokaw, both of Omaha, Nebraska; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Bachelor-Surber Memorial Chapel with PMA Urich officiating.
Inurnment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Belleville, Kansas.
Memorials are suggested to the Sharon E. Tamerius Memorial to be used for local animals and pets.
