Leon D. Hughes, 77, of Mankato, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Leon's wishes were to be cremated, and his cremated remains to be buried at the Nebraska Veteran's Cemetery near Alliance, Nebraska, at a later date.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, from 1 pm to 8 pm, with the family greeting friends from 6 pm to 8 pm at Melby Mortuary.
Memorials are requested to Jewell Co. EMS or the Jewell Co. Hospital, and may be sent to Melby Mortuary, P.O. Box 384, Mankato, KS 66956.
