Beloit Boys and Girls sweep Minneapolis.....St Johns Tipton splits with Tescott Friday January 13th

It was Winter Homecoming for Beloit High last night. Congratulations to King Jacob English and Queen Dani Overmiller.

 

The Beloit High Girls won in exciting fashion over Minneapolis 43-41...The game was tied 41-41 with 40 seconds to go....Elsie Mealiff hit 2 of 4 freethrows in that last 40 seconds to seal the game for the Beloit Girls now 7-3.  Beloit has won 6 games in a row and will be off til the McPherson Tourney Jan 26-28.

The Beloit High boys defeated Minneapolis 44-26 to improve to 6-3...Payton Vetter had 18 points for Beloit ...the Trojans will play in the 40th annual Sterling Invitational Basketball Tournament beginning Monday...first game is with Hutch Trinity...5:40pm Monday January 16th on KVSV-AM-FM...kvsvradio.com and hear on tv cable channel 12 in Beloit.

 

As heard on KVSV Friday night Jan 13th...The St Johns Tipton Girls defeated Tescott 63-25 to improve to 5-2 on the year.  Damaris Niewald had 14 points and 12 rebounds for St Johns Tipton..Alyssa Gasper had 16 points...Kellan Niewald had 14 points for the Lady Jays.   Demaris Niewald was named the Orthopedic Sports Health Clinic Player of the Game .....Kellan Niewald had the H & R Block "Block Of The Game".

 

The Tescott boys defeated St Johns Tipton 45-41....Tescott is now 4-4...St Johns Tipton is 3-4......The Orthopedic Sports Health Clinic Co-Players of the Game for Tescott were Austin Herbel (18points) and Joey Huerta (8points...6 in 4th quarter) and for St Johns Tipton Connor Eilert (12 points)......Trey Dubbert had the H & R Block "Block Of The Game"
